Stadium Hype Video Assignment

 
Overview & Objectives:
Student Producers will coordinate with Football coaches, players, and/or cheerleaders to create a Stadium Hype Video for one of the 5 high schools in Mesquite ISD. Student producers are responsible for creating a shot list and presenting it to your teacher for approval. Once approoved, the student producer will make arrangements with the coaches and players to schedule a time to film and create content for the video.

  • Adobe Premiere
  • GarageBand - use GarageBand to create your own background music and to use its copyright-free sound effects.
  • Digital Images
  • Headphones
  • AAVP: Stadium Hype Video Group Signup Form - Use this from to pick a Football team to film for this project. On the 2nd tab, there is a schedule for each MISD football team this season. You must film within the first 2 to 3 games so we have enough time to create a stadium hype video early enough.

  • This is an individual Assignment, 1 person will recieve credit for work on this assignment.
Vocabulary: add vocabulary words related to the assignment
Directions:

Student producers will go to the Stadium Hype Video Signup form to pick which school they will be making a video for and look at MISD football game schedules on the 2nd tab. Students will be responsible for coordinating with partners to plan, shoot, and edit the 1 minute stadium hype video for their assigned school. Please use the following guidelines:

  • The video must be 30 to 60 seconds long.
  • Use Royalty/Copyright free music or no more than 30 seconds of conventional music. Find and download music before filming
  • Create and submit a shot list to Mr. Coursey for approval
  • Coordinate with Coaches and Players to schedule a time to film video according to the shot list.
  • Bring neccessary equipment such as audio and lighting to shoot the video in an appealing way.
  • Options: get game footage from coaches/huddle site. Film highlights from games.
  • AAVP students working on the Football Highlight video can provide b-roll footage that can be used for your video.
  • Edit audio and video together with intent to promote spirit and support for chosen football team.
  • Include some sort of After Effectrs Animation in your video.
  • Add needed animations, graphics, logos, and titles.
  • include MSEB logo at the end (1 second)
  • Export video as a H264 format  (.MP4) with Youtube HD 1080p 29.9fps Preset. Name file as 2a_lastnamei_highlight in your 1-6wks folder and turn in along with your finished shot list and upload a copy to Google Classroom. Save as period_lastnamei_asssignmentname.mp4 (1a_smithj_HypeVideo.mp4) in your 1-6wks folder and upload a copy to Google Classroom and print, staple and turn in your Football Stadium Hype Video Documentation to Mr. Coursey.

If you are turning in a file as a group project save as (2a_lastnamei1-lastnamei2-lastnamei3_assignmentname.mp4)
